Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach (23rd of Tammuz, 5670; July 30, 1910 – 20th of Adar I) was one of the prominent halachic authorities of the 20th century.

In Adar of 5709 (1949), he was appointed as the head of the Kol Torah Yeshiva, a position he held for 46 years, until his passing.
